Countdown is underway to Purple Ladies 5K

The run is open to all ladies over the age of 14 years old and covers a distance of 5K (approximately 3 miles). This event gives all ladies the chance to walk, or jog at their own pace around the route as Springwell Running Club are continuing to promote health and fitness in the area whilst raising the profile of female sport.

It is hoped that this is to be a fun event. Marshalls will be positioned around the course to encourage everyone and ensure their safe passage along the route!

Online entry is available at www.athleticsni.org until the 24 April. Registration is available in the Joey Dunlop Centre from 6.00pm on Wednesday 29 April. Entry fees are £9 (affiliated) or £11 (unaffiliated) and there is a Technical T-shirt for the first 250 entries.

As well as there being prizes for winners in all age categories there will be various spot prizes.
