‘Crafty Cockney’ thrills fans on Ballymena visit

DARTS great Eric Bristow came to town for an exhibition on Saturday and 60 players - many from Ballymena and from the rest of the Province - came to play against him.

A great day was had by all with dart players having one game of 501 and getting to throw first.

There were differing standards among the throwers but throughout the afternoon the sportsmanship and banter from the ‘Crafty Cockney’ and the crowd was what made it a great day.

Most went home with signed photo’s of themselves and Eric and the realisation that they have played a legend of the dart world.

Earlier in the day, Bristow had officially opened new darts shop The Art of Darts NI in Ballymena.
