Craigavon High retainNI Schools’ hockey cup
The match was played at the Antrim Forum on March 20 and after a nervous start the girls quickly settled and played some great attacking hockey, with some great runs by Brooke Watson and Lucille Giffin, ensuring the Ballyclare defence had a busy afternoon.
Craigavon were unlucky not to score in the first half only being denied by an outstanding performance by the Ballyclare Goalkeeper, who deservedly was awarded player of the match.

Hide AdThe pressure eventually paid of 15 minutes through the second half when captain Steph Moffitt scored form open play after some great passing thorough the midfield of Emma White and Sarah Frizzell.
The girls continued to dominate the remainder of the game and were unfortunate not to win by a greater margin.
Zara Gibson kept the defence well organised ensuring that Ballyclare did not have the opportunity to equalise.
The girls all played exceptionally well and were deserving winners of the cup.
