Crawford Cup held at Brown Trout

THE weekend competition at the Trout was for the Crawford Cup played in medal format.

Club Vice Captain David Wilson(19) ran out a comfortable winner by four clear shots.

After opening with a birdie four at the first hole Davy completed the front nine in four over par 39 before completing the back nine in nine over 44.

His round of 83 netted down to a winning total of 64.

Seamus Doherty (15) also completed his round with 83 blows, 43 over the first nine and 40 the back nine for a net 68.

Two other members had returns of 69 net and after the tiebreak it was the Greenkeeper Ronnie Engall (12) after a gross 81 took the third prize on offer from Tommy McGowan (10) with Ronnie a back nine net 33 against Tommy’s 37.

Consolation for Tommy was winning the gross with his 79.

Twos were scored by Terry Campbell Robert Orr and Sam Reid.
