Ardmore Cricket Club receive Lottery cash boost

The Bleachgreen club has a substantial Development Plan in place covering on and off the field facilities which they are intent on working their way through over the next few years.

This particular funding will be used for new flooring throughout the building, new fire doors, a new serving area and overall decoration.

Secretary, George Brolly said the club was delighted to be receiving the grant and added that it was another step in their long-term plans for the venue.

"We would like to thank the National Lottery Community Fund, and Tommy Carlin in particular for helping us access this generous support," admitted Brolly.

"We're fortunate to have a strong and active committee and we're developing the facilities here to the benefit of everyone, not just Ardmore or the NWCU. It's very much a community club and we intend to make the facility available to local groups as well.

"We're looking forward to getting the work started in the clubhouse and hopefully we'll get to see the benefits in the not-too-distant future.".
