Again Donaghcloney lost the toss and were put into bat, however a bright start from father and son partnership Steven and Richard Lyttle had Donaghcloney’s 50 up within 6 overs and a big total looked on the cards.

However with Steven out going for one too many attempts and being caught at long on, the villagers found themselves struggling for runs.

Richard made his way to 49 before falling victim to a very impressive CI bowling line up.

With few of the other batsmen finding time to cause too much of a scare for the fielders they soon collapsed to 115 all out inside 34 overs.

Despite being behind in run rate for much of the first half of their innings and the lost of an opener to the bowling of William Fisher in the first over the hosts always appeared like they had another gear they could move up.

This rung true after the drinks break as they were able to quickly accelerate and thanks in part to some wayward bowling got over the line with 5 overs to spare to set up a clash with Waringstown in the next round.
