The 15-year-old all-rounder, who is a member of the NCU Junior Knights academy, scored a brilliant 135 runs which included 18 fours and two sixes.

Unfortunately it was not enough to ensure victory for Carrick. Despite scoring a very competitive 259 for 7, they went down by four wickets.

They gained their revenge on Sunday, however, when they defeated the same opposition by seven runs at The Lawn, with skipper John Stewart hitting an unbeaten 67 runs, and Adam Fittis scoring 57.
