Twenty-six of the club’s most promising young players, between the ages of 11 and 15, have been invited to attend the six-week course which is being delivered by the club’s ECB qualified coaches, with appearances by Cricket Ireland coaches to add their expertise.

It incorporates all aspects of the game, with modules on batting, bowling, wicketkeeping, and fielding, challenging and encouraging the participants to develop their skills.

The Middle Road club, which is one of only eight in Northern Ireland to hold Sport NI’s Clubmark Accreditation, continues its commitment to providing quality coaching, good competition, and a safe environment for its young players.

The club will again be providing coaching for and fielding teams in league and cup cricket at the Under-11, Under-13, and Under-15 age groups, and will, for the first time this season, be offering coaching at the club for boys and girls in the Under-9 age group.

Carrick will also be providing coaching in 14 local schools, as well as sessions throughout the summer at their superb facilities at Middle Road.

Pre-season coaching for local youngsters will be held in Carrick Amphitheatre during March and April.
