The innings couldn’t have got off to a worse start with Scott Campbell being dismissed first ball and Tim Chopra falling not long after.

The two openers lost their wickets in what some people will say unfortunate but really it was poor judgement. This brought Niall McDonnell and professional Roshene Silva to the crease. After persistent rain the pair eventually continued to revive the innings putting on a 41 partnership before McDonnell was run out for a patient 26.

The professional continued on his fine start to the season compiling 53 runs and adding another good partnership (79) with David Cooke. Once Silva was dismissed the innings rapidly went downhill with eight overs to go. Cooke ended up being dismissed for 46 and no one else reached double figures.

Late on off spinner Andrew Lucas picked up three wickets with Bready professional picking up one himself.

The Bready innings got off to a blistering start with both openers Brian Crumley and David Rankin punishing some bowling, putting on a 67 run partnership in just 12 overs. Crumley was more of the aggressor scoring 35 runs of 42 balls until Scott Campbell dismissed him. Austin was dismissed not long after by Varun Chopra which brought the new Bready professional to the wicket. Spin was brought on from both ends to try and dry up the runs and this proved to be the right solution as Rankin (39), Wallace and Allen were dismissed within four balls by Coleraine professional Silva. He then removed the Bready captain Scanlon for 28 leaving 13 required off three overs. Jarred Barnes bowled an excellent penultimate over only leaving 10 required. This left the last over to skipper Campbell who after a run out by Rishi Chopra managed to restrict Bready to six runs.

This meant Coleraine won by 4 runs in a nail biter. They now entertain Eglinton in the cup on Saturday.
