It’s been no secret over the winter that they were in the market for a wicketkeeper/batsman to replace Adrian Murphy who intimated towards the end of last season that he wouldn’t be returning for 2015.

The Bleachgreen men have taken this opportunity to give Adrian a massive thanks for his efforts over the last six years with Ardmore, his influence on the field was instrumental in them regaining and then retaining their place at the top tier of North West cricket.

As a like for like replacement they are pleased to welcome Brendon Louw as Overseas Amateur player/coach to the club.

Brendon, a South African, comes highly recommended from within his country and at 23 he has played around 50 games in the Sunfoil 3day Provincial competition, averaging just under 27 with one century and 13 fifties.

He is a stylish left handed batsman/keeper who has had a couple of appearances for the Warriors franchise and has also played for SA U19.

He is also a qualified coach and has agreed to work with our youth teams and help strengthen their schools’ links. His signing is subject to him securing the necessary visa.

Ardmore are also delighted to welcome Simon Killen to the club from Glendermott.

Simon will add depth to their batting and joins after a really good season in 2014 which saw him score over 600 runs, finishing third in the championship run totals.

The former Glendermott man has plenty of Premiership experience and has shown in the past that he can score runs at this level.
