CRICKET: Donemana's William McClintock shines in Ireland defeat
Donemana's William McClintock topscored in Ireland U19's 79 run defeat to India, at the ICC World Cup.
McClintock scored 58 runs and his 113 partnership with Lorcan Tucker, gave Ireland a chance of beating one of the tournament favourites at the Bangla National Cricket Stadium this morning.
William was joined in the Ireland side by twin brother Gary, who took a wicket during India’s innings and fellow North West man Coleraine’s Varun Chopra.
Ireland face Nepal, who caused somewhat of a shock after they defeated New Zealand this morning, in their second Group D game on Saturday moring.
