The home side still missing skipper David Scanlon and Craig Young asked the visitors to bat first and with Niall McDonnell top scoring with 76 and Gordon Cooke undefeated on 35 their innings closed on 210 for 8.

Bready got off to a bad start losing both Brian Crumley to the first ball of the innings and then David Rankin with the score on 12.

David Barr and Michael Loubser took the total to 70 before Barr was out for 33, when Loubser departed for 37 wickets continued to fall as the home side slumped to 125 for 6.

Young Andrew Austin gave his side a chance batting at 6 before he went for a fine 41 as David Rankin’s mens innings closed on 189 to maintain the visitors place at the top of the table.

Donemana had few problems when St Johnston visited the Holm, the Donegal side were shot out for just 96 with Mr Extras top scoring with an incredible 36.

Richard Kee’s side lost four wickets in their pursuit to move to joint second in the table.

Brigade joined Donemana in second place after they defeated Strabane by four wickets at Beechgrove.

The Red Caps still not at full strength scored a respectable 157 for 9 with Mo Sharma top scoring with 49, however 58 from opener Ian McGregor saw the home side comfortably through.

Ardmore’s Decker Curry scored his 98th century of a wonderful career but it was not enough to give his side victory over Senior Cup finalists Eglinton at the Bleachgreen.

The Villagers scored 231 for 6 in their 50 overs with Craig Averill top scoring with 84 and Jamie Millar not out 59.

Curry hit 115 and only Andrew Riddles with 60 offered any resistance as the home side were all out for 215.

The two games scheduled for Sunday were both washed out Eglinton’s semi-final game in the Ulster Cup against Instonians has been rearranged for August 16th.

While the big game in the Premiership between Coleraine and Brigade also fell victim to the weather which was good news for Donemana.
