Elsewhere, Academy defeated Saintfield by 39 runs (Duckworth Lewis) in NCU League Section 2, while Larne lost by four wickets to Cregagh in Section 3.

Poor weather conditions meant Templepatrick CC were spared the long trip south for their RSA National Cup game with Mullingar, exiting the competition 3-2 on a remote bowl-out.

Carrickfergus were set to be in action on Sunday (May 25), away to Sion Mills in the opening round of the Ulster Cup.
