Derriaghy Seconds up for Cup final

Derriaghy Seconds will have silverware on their minds today (Saturday) when they travel to Pollock Park in Lurgan for the final of the Intermediate Cup against Woodvale Seconds.

With both teams in Junior league Two and sitting just below the top two, this should be an evenly balanced match.

Captain David Scott will feel confident that his team are more than capable of pulling off a win after beating Carrick, Laurelvale and North Down in earlier rounds.

The match starts at 12 noon and all support will be most welcome. The Seconds were due to play their cup final opponents in the first of two encounters last week but, like a number of league fixtures, it was hit by the weather as was Sunday’s rearranged game against Templepatrick.
