The Roe Valley side travelled to Bonds Glen and were in a bit of trouble early on as Lee Britton and Leslie Curry were able to stem the flow of runs.

Drummond’s middle order rallied however with skipper Steve Moore and namesake Chris combining to good effect the captain leading the way with an unbeaten 66.

The former Limavady all-rounder also made a half century and their efforts allowed the visitors to post a competitive 203 in their 40 overs. Britton’s 4-18 was an excellent effort and he was well backed up by Curry’s three for 38.

The Bee Gees’ top order struggled as well, as Chris Moore and Ricky McDaid got early wickets on the board before the home side’s own middle order fought back. Ash Buchan made an unbeaten 45 and he got good support from Willie Jackson who made 34, but they just couldn’t claw it back and eventually came up 40 runs short.

Drummond have to wait until this Sunday to see if they meet either Glendermott or St Johnston in the final.
