Duo called into Warriors squad

Gareth Burns and Gary McClintock have been added to the North West Warriors squad for the one-day clash against Northern Knights at Coleraine on Monday (10.45am).

The pair come in for Ernest Kemm and Tabish Khan, both of whom are ineligible for the 50 over format of the Newstalk Inter-Pro Series.

Pace bowler Burns has started the season well for league champions Coleraine, and will enjoy playing on his home patch.

He’s one of three Coleraine players in the 12 named by Coach Bobby Rao - Niall McDonnell and teenager Rishi Chopra the others.

Another teenager included is Donemana all-rounder Gary McClintock.

He too will have a number of familiar faces in the changing room, as there are three Donemana representatives in the squad. The squad is captained by Andrew McBrine, with Ricky-Lee Dougherty keeping wicket.

Action at Sandel Lodge, Coleraine, gets under way on Monday at 10.45am with free admission.
