North West cricketers Stuart Thompson and Craig Young have been rubbing shoulders with One Direction star Niall Horan.

The pair along with their Ireland teammates bumped into Horan in Sydney ahead of the World Cup. The world-renowned pop band One Direction are currently touring in Australia.

Bready pace bowler Young tweeted: “Cool to bump into @NiallOfficial today. Supporting the @Irelandcricket lads out here in #Oz #1D #onedirection.”

While Eglinton man Thompson tweeted: “Great to see so many Irish in Coogee. @NiallOfficial painting Sydney green #baller.”
