Foyle learn Schools Cricket Cup opponents

Foyle & Londonderry College have been given what looks to be a gentle opener as they strive for a hat-trick of Ulster Bank Schools’ Cricket Cup wins next season. They have been drawn away to Bangor Grammar School’s second string as 32 teams line up for first round ties to be played by May 11.

Two of the other three North West teams in the competition will also play 2nd XI opposition - Coleraine Academical Institution will be at home to Wallace High School Seconds and Strabane Grammar School will travel to Friends’ Seconds at Lisburn. The remaining North West side, Limavady Grammar, will face stiffer competition when they host Grosvenor Grammar School.

Three Under 15 teams have gone through to the second round: Lisneal College will play the winners of Limavady Grammar School v Dalriada School and Down High School and Friends’ School will play each other.
