Put in to bat, Lisburn looked in trouble after a slow start and with the in-form Michael Glass out for 19. Nathan Doak then composed an outstanding 53 not out composed of an array of classic shots all round the wicket.

He was well supported by Oliver Patterson (10) and a belligerent 20 from Jude Postlethwaite.

Nathan’s brilliant innings ensured the team scrambled to a respectable 114 for 6.

CIYMS were kept under pressure with tight bowling with Zach Croskery again the pick of the bowlers.

Jude Postlethwaite then turned the screw with an exceptional display of top-class fielding taking three stunning catches and a run out.

Jude is as dangerous in the field as he is with the ball - few junior players have such an influence in the three disciplines of cricket.

CIYMS put in a late spurt with a rash of boundaries but Cameron Doak bowled a beautiful last over under pressure to see Lisburn home by 10 runs.

As the team head into the July break they have three wins from four league matches and are very well placed going into the second half of the season.
