Lawrence Moore, winner of the Johnston, Mooney and O’Brien Volunteer of the Year Award at the 2014 Cricket Ireland Awards has had his work recognised yet again, as he picks up the Volunteer of the Year award for his tireless work within the North West Cricket Union.

Throughout the year Lawrence carries a multitude of duties ranging from the compiling of scorecards for the media from across the North West Union leagues, writing match reports for the local media and the NWCU website, often travelling long distances to cover games.

On top of this, Lawrence is hands on when it comes to the day-to-day running of the Union, sitting on a number of NWCU committees, as well as looking after the Union’s Facebook and Twitter accounts.

Anyone involved with cricket in the North West will know about the commitment and hard work of Lawrence, and this award is further recognition of how hard he works.

The Pepsi ICC Development awards, which have been running since 2002, form part of the ICC’s commitment to promoting excellence in cricket development outside the ICC’s Full Members.

They are designed to recognise exceptional performance and service to the game in ICC Associate and Affiliate Member countries, highlighting cricket’s expanding reach and sharing best practice.

All the winners from the ICC Europe Awards will be automatically put forward for the Pepsi ICC Development Global Awards.
