Naomi and Hannahin Irish team to face the Italians at The Lawn
Two local girls have been selected for the Ireland Ladies Under 19 cricket squad for two international games against the Italy in two T20s at Waringstown on Monday August 3, and a 50-over match at YMCA Dublin on August 4.
Ireland women’s coach Aaron Hamilton named Hannah Grieve from Lurgan Cricket Club and Naomi Matthews from Waringstown Cricket Club in the 13 strong squad.
“I’m excited for the game especially as it is at Waringstown,” said Naomi.
“This is the first year of the Ireland Under 19 team so it is great to be involved.
“Hopefully I can keep improving and eventually make it into the senior squad,” added the all rounder.
