Ramoo is a top order right hand bat, who bowls both off-spin and medium pace and he comes with a level two coaching certificate.

He has a wealth of experience coaching in schools in East London, South Africa and currently plays in the same Border provincial team as former Fox Lodge professional Daryl Brown. Romano also comes with a glowing reference from Bready’s former overseas man Arno Jacobs.

A spokesman for Bready confirmed the signing adding “Whilst we are delighted to have signed Romano, we would also like to put on record our thanks to Agha Sabir for his efforts over the past two seasons.

“Agha helped our 1st XI win the Northern Bank Senior Cup and Faughan Valley T20 Cup in 2011, and, just as importantly, put alot of time into coaching the various youth teams at the club. The Committee, players and members would like to wish Agha and his family all the best for the future.

The South African has said he is looking forward to meeting up with his new team-mates in April, adding “I’m delighted at signing for Bready Cricket Club for this coming season and I’m really looking forward to the experience of playing cricket in new conditions as well as interacting with different cultures and people.

“I’m looking forward to playing in the new Premier League and bringing more success to the club both on the field and off, passing on my experience to the youth section at the club in the impressive facilities Bready has to offer.”
