Carrick batted first and scored a formidable 171 for seven in their 20 overs. Scott and Jack Burton got them off to a great start with a 107 opening partnership in only 11 overs, before Burton was caught on the boundary for 48.

Scott required two runs to complete his 100 with two balls of the innings remaining but was bowled as he attempted to force the ball away. His superb innings contained twelve fours and three sixes, and was enough to see his side safely into the final.
