As many as six of the girls were playing in their first game and put in a good performance considering.

Captain Judith Latimer won the toss and elected to bat first with Waringstown respectably posting a total of 94-7 off their 16 overs.

The Johns twins impressed most with the bat with Hannah top scoring with 26 and Megan 16. Jennie Lyttle chipped in with 11, Rachel Harrison 9 and Jill Holley 8 not out.

On the bowling front Jennie Lyttle was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 2-14.

Rachel Harrison took one wicket and young Lauren Lyttle bowled a lot better than her figures suggested, taking the fourth wicket.

Armagh reached the total with eight balls to go and five wickets in hand. A little inexperience showed as the girls conceded 27 extras which proved costly.

The girls had an enjoyable evening with a return fixture being arranged for the coming weeks.
