Instonians are a highly-rated side, but their hopes were soon dashed when Carson bowled their leading batsman with just the third delivery of the innings.

Not a single Inst player reached double figures in a total of 49 all out as all of the Waringstown bowlers performed well. Waringstown were also excellent in the field, as they successfully completed three run outs.

Result: Waringstown under-11s 91-1, 20 overs (J Carson 59, J Abraham 16), beat Instonians 49 (J Humphreys 2-14, J Froggatt 2-10, J Abraham 1-10, J Best 1-10, J Carson 1-1) by 42 runs.

Waringstown are also in the final of the Banoge Cup at under 13 level but the game against local rivals Lurgan was washed out at The Lawn on Monday night.

The under 15s are still waiting to play the eagerly-awaited Graham Cup final against North Down.
