Taiaroa named in Knights squad

Carrickfergus Cricket Club’s Mikey Taiaroa has been named in the first Northern Knights extended training squad for the upcoming RSA Inter provincial series.

Ireland’s Andrew White will captain the 22-strong panel, which includes an exciting blend of experience and youth.

Brian Walsh, Northern Cricket Union chairman, said: ‘It is great to see the progress of all provincial unions in filling managerial positions and selecting their respective squads. We are very happy with the make up our squad and I would like to take this opportunity of welcoming Eugene Moleon (Head Coach), Gavin Rodgers (Assistant Coach) and Gordon Scott (Team Administrative Officer) on board, and wish the entire squad well this season.”

The Knights’ first game will be away against Leinster Lightning on Monday, May 6 (50-over game) at The Hills Cricket Club and starts an exciting season for the Inter Provincial squad.
