Teenager McClintock secures player of the round accolade

Donemana teenager Gary McClintock has won the Danske Bank Player of the Round award for his performance in the quarter-final win at Killyclooney.

The 18 year-old took four wickets, including a hat-trick, and followed that with an unbeaten 56 as Donemana chased down 196 to win by nine wickets.

McClintock beat off the challenge of Coleraine captain Scott Campbell who scored 90 as the Bannsiders beat Bready by five wickets, and Brigade opener Gareth McKeegan who hit 94 as Brigade chased 237 to beat Ardmore.

The all rounder carried that form onto Sunday when he again shone with the bat this time he was the NW Warriors top scoring with 62, in their Inter-Provincial Cup defeat to Leinster Lightning.

In the semi-finals, Donemana come up against Coleraine on Saturday June 27, while Brigade have home advantage over Eglinton the following day at Beechgrove.
