Tigers tamedat Lisburn

Lurgan Under-15’s cricketers travelled to Wallace High School last Friday evening to take on Lisburn.

Lisburn won the toss and elected to bat first but it was the Tigers who made the breakthrough with J Hamilton being caught behind by Scott Wilson off the bowling of Callum Gibson for 0.

Lisburn skipper Aaron McKeown hit several boundaries on his way to a half century. The Tigers took wickets at the other end but they were unable to dislodge McKeown who finished not out on 52. The most successful Lurgan bowler was Nathaniel Ferris with 2 for 22 off his 4 overs. In reply, the Tigers struggled to build a partnership as wickets fell at regular intervals. It was not until Nathaniel Ferris and Mark Harris came together in the 14th over that they were able to do this. The pair batted very well and put on 38 together. However, they ran out of overs and Lisburn deservedly took the points.
