Tough draw for Carrick in Senior Cup

CARRICKFERGUS Cricket Club have been handed a tough draw in the quarter-finals of the NCU Ulster Bank Senior Challenge Cup which is set to take place this weekend.

The Middle Road men were paired with holders North Down while Premier League leaders Waringstown also have home advantage over neighbours Lurgan, the only Section 1 league side still in the tournament. Ballymena entertain 2008 winners Civil Service North while Instonians are set to take on Muckamore.

North Down will start strong favourites to reach the last four with Carrickfergus struggling to find form in the Premier League.
