Ulster Cup first round bye for Holm men

The draw for the first round of next season’s Ulster Cup competitions was made on Monday evening and once again there are several mouth-watering ties to look forward to over the winter.

New Coleraine skipper Gordon Cooke has a really difficult job first up if he hopes to emulate his brother David in winning the Club Turf trophy - the Bannsiders travel to Comber in the first round in what looks to be the pick of the games.

Beaten finalists Waringstown have landed a home draw; rejuvenated Fox Lodge providing the opposition there while Muckamore will take on Bready. CIYMS will entertain Strabane in a match-up of two sides who failed to fire domestically in 2013.
