Wallace seeded in Schools’ Cup

A total of 27 schools will take part - 11 matches will be played in the first round before the end of April and five seeded schools, including holders Royal Belfast Academical Institution and Wallace High School, have received byes into the second round. Friends’ School will travel to Antrim Grammar in the first round and victory will bring a tougher proposition in Londonderry against the seeded Foyle College who were runners-up last year.

The first round is scheduled to be completed by April 29 and the full draw is:

A Strabane Academy v Carrickfergus Grammar School; B Sullivan Upper School v Larne Grammar; C Antrim Grammar v Friends’ School Lisburn; D Royal School Armagh v Bangor Grammar; E Grosvenor Grammar v Belfast HS; F Coleraine Academical Institution v Down HS; G Methodist College Belfast v RBAI 2nd XI; H Portora Royal School v Royal School Dungannon; I Campbell College 2nd XI v Limavady Grammar; J Ballymena Academy v Ballyclare HS; K Regent House School v Lurgan College.

The draw for the second round has also been made with games to be played by May 13.
