Cross Country meeting at Gransha

The Gransha grounds will host the annual North West Cross Country meeting, this Saturday.

With a race programme for underage, senior and masters all catered for a large turnout is expected.

The U12 1KM race gets underway at 11.45am, followed by the U13 2KM and U16 3KM races. Entries and £1.50 or 2 Euros for all of these races will be taking from 10.30am from the U3A Foyle Building in Gransha.

All finishers in the underage races will receive a ribbon medal.

The featured race the Open 6K is scheduled for 12.30pm and the U18, 20, senior and masters athletes both male and female will be taking part in this race.

The Open race is both a Northern Ireland Masters League points race and a Athletes Northern Ireland Winter League points events.

Entry fee for the Open is £6 or 7 Euro and entries will also be taking from 10.30am from the U3A Building.

It also possible to pre-entry on-line until 5pm on Friday, just e-mail [email protected] with your name, club, DOB and age on race day. Entry fee and race pack can be sorted on Saturday.

Meanwhile PACE Running club are organising a Charity Christmas Day 5KM Run/Walk from Sainsbury.

Entry fee is £5 and all donates will go to Ashmore House, the race which is sponsored by the Tower Hotel, gets underway at 11am.
