Cup matches are held in First Blues league

THE final matches in the Second Division Cup qualifiers took place in the First Blues Lisburn and District Dart League last week.

Downside raced into a 3-1 lead with wins by I. Gibson (100), T.G. Mackin (100), B. McMichael (2x100), with P. Logan winning for The Crows, who then took charge winning six of the next seven for a 7-4 victory and a place in the final.

Crows winners were D. Kay (100), A. Hanlon, K. Kennedy, W. Harkness, B. Gibb (100), T. Harbinson (100).

Downside’s other winner was W. Ricketts.

DUNMURRY INN 7 MAGHABERRY B 4

ON this showing, Dunmurry should be further up the table. Alas it comes too late as even in defeat Maghaberry B qualify to play The Crows in the final.

Dunmurry Inn winners were B. Jackson, B. Graham (120), D. Sloan (3x100), S. Allen, A. Jackson (2x100), N. Cummins (100) and W. McMorran.

Maghaberry B winners were D. Jordan (100), A. Porter (100), R. Wilson and A. Heasley (100).

In the remaining match McCrums and Laganview played out a hard fought game with the home team just edging it for a 6-5 win.

McCrums winners were G. Beggs Snr (120), B. Johnston, S. Martin, A. Garrett, J. Nelson, C. Donald.

Laganview winners were P. Finnigan, A. Hurst (100), N. Alister, K. Watson and M. Laffin(100).

IN the quarter finals of the First Division Cup, Ballymacash stormed to a 5-0 lead with wins from E. Hagan (2x100, 180), S. Parker (3x100), P. McKeown (4x100, 140), I. Ringland (2x100, 3x140), T. Bustard (2x100, 140).

BIBC pulled two back with superb wins from E. Dobbin, C. McConkey (100, 180).

Spectatoes then witnessed the best match of the round with J. Bunting winning the first leg in 14 darts, but A. Carlisle showed all his years of experience by taking the next two legs in 21 and 18 darts, Alan’s scors 4x100, 2x140, J. Bunting’s scores 100, 4x140.
