Cup victory for Dunmurry C/C B

The Cordner Cup, 5-a-side was played to completion in the Lisnagarvey Darts League last Friday night. There was a large turnout at the league sponsors, Derriaghy Cricket Club.

Results from the Quarter Final were as follows:

Dunmurry C/C B defeated Benmore A 3-2; Derriaghy C/C B were beaten 3-0 by Highwaymen; Downside B got the better of First Blues A 3-2; Bleachers A were defeated 3-0 by Dunmurry C/C A.

Semi Final results were as follows:

Dunmurry C/C B defeated Hightwaymen A 3-2 and Downside B defeated Dunmurry C/C A 3-1

The competiton turned into local derby with Dunmurry C/C players from the A and B teams playing magnificent darts to allow B team to claim the Cordner Cup.

Fixtures

There will be no competitions in the Garvey league this week (8/11/2013), due to NIDO Competitions being played, postponing league Individuals until November 29. The Garvey Delegates League meeting will be held on November 12 at 8pm sharp at Derriaghy Cricket Club, when fees for the Individuals can be paid at this meeting or on November 29 at the first round.

Ladies League Results

Over the last couple of weeks, the 1st Blues Ladies Dart League held a 3-a-sides competition. In the semi final round M.Beattie,J.Hanna and Z.Graham beat M.Jackson,K.Cooper and N.Hamilton and G.Mullan,M.Glasgow and E.Harrison beat A.Rainey,T.Johnson and A.Sharkey. In the final both sets of girls played great darts but it was the girls from Linfield M.Beattie,J.Hanna and Z.Graham who hit their doubles to beat the girls from Highway G.Mullan,M.Glasgow and E.Harrison.

Also this week, Knockmore played host to Highway. Both teams played great darts and both teams shared the spoils with a 4-4 draw. Winning for Knockmore were N.Hamilton,M.Jackson and G.Jones who won both her games. For Highway M.Glasgow(100) G.Mullan,S.McKee(115) and E.Harrison.

Linfield 3 Blues 5

Linfield were also at home this week to the Blues. Both teams threw excellent darts but the visitors hit their doubles to beat the home team 5-3. Winning for Linfield Z.Graham and L.Fisher who won both her matches and for the Blues A.Sharkey,N.Johnson,A.Sommerville(128,112) and T.Johnson(140,118) who won both her matches.
