Curran Ladies suffer league defeat on the road at Newry

On the road for the second time in a week, Curran Ladies faced old rivals Newry on Thursday (June 2).

On a strangely ‘heavy’ green both the Larne rinks had indifferent first nines.

Ethel Miller, Sonya McDermott, Joyce Spiers and Lynda Simms were 12-3 down before storming back only to lose 17-14.

Marwin Hardy, Eileen Magill, Rene Gallagher and Valerie Noble trailed 11-6 before returning a 15-13 losing card.

The defeat to Newry came on the back of a win over neighbours Carrick.
