Cycling: East Tyrone’s Gary Jeffers claims Time Trial win

East Tyrone cyclist Gary Jeffers was the winner of last week’s third round of the Performance Nutrition Plus Time Trial League.

The race, which was a circuit event held on the Sherrygroom Road race course, saw junior riders Lee Somerville and Harry McComb placed second and third.

Racing this Thursday, June 4th is Round Four of the Time Trial League over 10 Miles on the Omagh Road starting at 7.30pm when a bigger entry is anticipated.

East Tyrone’s Harvey Barnes and Gary Jeffers repeated their one-two albeit in reverse order in the second round of the five Inter Club League promoted by Island Wheelers at Caledon.

Alan Gilkinson was the best placed East Tyrone rider in the “B” race finishing eight.
