CYCLING: Second place for Nigel

On Tuesday 10 July, the Bann Wheelers held the 25 Mile TT Club Championships on the Ballybogey course.

There’s going to be a new name on the trophy this year. Nigel Quigley was the fastest Bann Wheeler on a time of 0:59:15. The fastest man on the night was Peter Cole from Roe Valley CC on 0:58:06. The cold and windy conditions frustrated fast times for the testers on what is also a challenging course. Full results are available on the club website www.bannwheelers.com.

Big thanks to the marshals for keeping everybody safe and once again to Ian Nevin for time keeping. The next event in the Bann Wheelers’ race calendar is the 22 mile Club Championship race on the Coolyvenny circuit, which will be held tonight (Tuesday 17th).
