Dalriada 2nd XV secure decisive victory

A strong Dalriada 2nd XV kicked off into a fast Larne team, a quick turnover of ball and a lightening run made by No.8 Matthew Christie allowed Dalriada to score a quick try with Aaron Sparks converting. Larne kicked back and after a strong Larne side put pressure on Dalriada No.6 Johnny Allan surged through to out run the Larne backline and score.

Aaron Sparks converted to make the score 14-0 Dalriada. When Dalriada received the ball after the restart it was a quick flash and No.9 Adam Barton had broke the defensive line and scored under the posts. Score 19-0.

After halftime the Dalriada boys pushed forward and made it to the Larne five metre line. An arrow throw in the lineout from hooker Ben Graham gave Allen Carruthers the ball who passed to No.4 Matthew Campbell who off loaded Johnny Allen who burst over the line to make the score 24-0. After the reset the Dalriada lads had made it back to the five metre, Shane Harper pushed far and took it to the ground. Ben Graham (2) and Matthew Campbell (4) took the ball and drove over and scored.

Ben Graham scored to make the score 29-0. Aaron Sparks converted to make it 31-0. At the restart Larne were at their peak and held the line but at a scrum the ball came out and Scrum Half Adam Barton ran the pitch and scored to make it 36-0. Aaron Sparks converted to make it 38-0. This made the final score Dalriada 38-0 Larne.
