Their reward for an excellent performance on the day - which drew praise from the Bangor coach afterwards - is a clash with Campbell.

And the local lads are confident they can take another big scalp this weekend.

“The excitement has been building up all week at the school,” said Dalriada’s John Devlin.

“Unfortunately we had no game on Saturday after our match with Limavady was called off which was disappointing but we will be prepared for Campbell.

“It will be extremely difficult and is a notoriously tough place to go but we can take a lot of confidence from our display against Bangor and the boys will be fired up.”

John said he expected the same squad of 22 from the previous round to make the trip to Campbell.

Anyone wishing to travel to Saturday’s match to support the boys is asked to contact Dalriada.

Congratulations from everyone at the school to coach Benji on the latest addition to his family at the weekend.
