Dalriada Firsts enjoy a convincing win away to Limavady Grammar

On Saturday Dalriada First XI travelled away to Limavady Grammar school and had a convincing 3-0 win.

On the evidence of this display Dalriada shows promise for the season ahead. Goals were scored by Claire Finnerty and Bekah Kennedy and now the team look forward to a local derby this coming weekend against Coleraine Grammar at Rugby Avenue.

This week’s match for the Dalriada Under-14s against Limavady, was a competitive and enjoyable 40 minutes. The score was a tight 1-0 to Limavady. The ball was hit into the circle and unfortunately bounced of a Dalriada stick. The Limavady side were strong in attack and showed very impressive teamwork.

The Dalriada squad showed some great skills, especially Anna Graham and Anna-Jane Murphy, both goalkeepers. Anna Kennedy also had a few fab runs with the ball. The team would to thank both umpires and their new coach, Miss Turner.

The Under-13s played Limavady Grammar and lost 2-0. Saskia Love played well in center mid. Eva McCaughern also played very well in centre forward. Dalriada had about five shots at the goal with Limavady scoring in the second half.
