Dame Mary is the guest at Dunmurry GC’s Winter dinner

Dunmurry Golf Club’s Lady Captain Claire Johnston and committee organised a winter dinner and were delighted that Dame Mary Peters, an honorary member of Dunmurry Golf Club, agreed to be the after dinner speaker.

The evening commenced with a drinks reception followed by a three course meal. Background music was provided by local artist John McGurgan.

Lady Captain introduced Dame Mary who entertained and captivated everyone with great stories of her busy and wonderful life.

She spoke about the work of the Mary Peters’Trust and fundraising and bursaries given to young sports men and women over the years.

Lady Captain presented Dame Mary with a donation towards the Trust and a bouquet of flowers.
