In a competitive league they sealed the title with two games remaining, they deserve a lot of credit and more honours are likely to follow the new champions.

The winning team will rightly so be rewarded at the league’s annual presentation and dinner dance and having already won the first team cup the question is now can anyone stop them from doing the treble or quadruple in the team events.

Congratulations to the whole Calablanca Bar darts squad led by the respected captain and a fine darts player himself Mark Thompson and also praise to Kenny Curran bar owner.

Farahs A remain in second and with two games to go they have had a very good first season in our league so they will want to finish there with the strong teams with experience Rising Sun A and Donaghys right behind them seeking second position yet.

There are still pride of place and prize money to play for so all teams should continue as normal and fight for every point to the end.

A 7 Player Cup competition, which will be sponsored by The Well Bar, gets underway tonight. Teams will be selected in the order of captains preference this is not a blind draw you can pick your 7 players and the sub and then with opposing captain reveal the order you wish and put them on scoresheet.

Played over two weeks Thursday 5th and Thursday 12th March and all 15 teams in the league must enter.

One team will progress to second week from each bar and if you are beat on Thursday 5th March then you will have a free night the following week.

This evening all venues (Calablanca, Longfield Inn and Macons) must have two dartboards in play. The Drummond Hotel only require one dartboard as there are only three teams in action. If any team doesn’t play they automatically get money deducted from prize money and that will be shared out among the rest of the teams.
