DARTS: Sperrin Flights off to a flyer

Friday night saw a return to action for the Coleraine & District Darts League for the start of the 2012/13 League season.

It is last year’s champions the Sperrin Flights who are setting the standard with an emphatic 7-1 victory over Kellys Inn as they start off the new season as they ended the last. The Thatch returning to the League this year may prove to be the biggest contender to the Sperrin as they came away from Bertha’s with a narrow win in a game that produced some of the best darts of the night while Floyds A will be looking to improve on last year’s performance after starting off with a tough win against Villa in their first game.

Social Club also look a tough opponent as they too started the season with a win over Floyds B with a team of young players who were throwing some good darts in their first year while Scotch House and Railway Arms fought out the only draw of the night.
