Date set for Larne Half Marathon
Next year’s Larne Half Marathon is set to take place on Saturday, March 24 2012.
The popular event is organised by Larne Athletic Club and entries for the race have opened on its website. The race is going from strength to strength and organisers are expecting some 1,500 runners this year.
Elaine Hall of Larne AC said: “Our course is by far the most scenic half marathon in Northern Ireland and, in my experience, in the UK. The route follows the Coast Road from Larne to Ballygally and is flat. There is also the opportunity to run as part of a relay team or walk the course.
“It is also a good preparation event for those hoping to compete in the Belfast Marathon in May.”
