David is high gun once again

IT was another good week for a certain local shooter with the latest 100-bird shoot to be held at Ballykelly on Saturday.

Of the 60 shooters in attendance, it took until the final squad of the day, and junior shooter David Henning, before high gun could be settled.

The Mourne man was shooting well, down by only three barrels after the 100, finishing on 100/297. This was David's second high gun in two weeks; a great achievement for the ever-improving junior.

Shooters are reminded of the upcoming shoot at Rathfriland. The Noel Carson cup will be up for grabs on Saturday January 29 in 100-bird competition. Shooting will commence at 9am with all shooters welcome.
