David Traynor grasps the Dessie Shirley Cup at Gracehill

The Sunday Sweep on 4th July was won by Malachy Carey (19) with 39 pts with runner up Paul Scullion (27) on 36 and Aaron Bell (6) 3rd and gross winner with 35.

Neilly Greer (12) scooped the twos kitty for himself with his two at McCools .

Meanwhile, Dessie Shirley(13) showed sparkling form to lift the popular bass trophy at Gracehill last week with a fine 43 point tally .Breathing down his neck was Michael Liken (6) with 41 points with one handicapper Robert McNeill scoring 38 for 3rd Jim Gillan (12)was fourth with 38 points and Chris Stinson( 17) 5th on 37 followed by Alistair Bustard on 36 points.

Gross prize went to Randall McDonnell.

There were 13 twos so the dividend would be low as they say in Football pools speak.

Unusually the Monthly Medal was contested on Sunday with Neilly Greer (12) winning Division 1 with a fine nett 69 one better than Herbie McCook on 70 and Morris Peden on

71 in 3rd.In Div 2 Cahal McCauley (16) was the Medal Winner with a nett 71 from Jim Baird (27) on 72 with Andrew Smyth (19) also on 72 .
