Davidson finishes highly for Island Wheelers

The Island Wheelers racing team were in action on Tuesday evening for the first Inter Club League road race of the season at Annaghmore.

The racing was at an extremely fast pace with all the riders looking to get the season off to a good start. In the end, there were three Wheelers finishing in the top 10, with Noel McLoughlin coming home particularly strong to claim 5th place.

What was even more impressive was the number of new faces taking part in, and enjoying the race, well done everyone! The next race in the Inter Club League will be a 10 mile time trial at the Birches, with the first rider off at 7pm.

Another of the Island Wheelers up and coming youth riders, Nathan Weir was in the mix in the senior race and finished an excellent 10th. Nathan, who normally races in the under 16 events showed the seniors that it’s hard to beat the youth!
