Davis coaching course returns

DUE to the continuing popularity and success of the Summer courses 2009 the Sean Davis 'Fun Soccer' coaching course will return to the Du Pont Playing Fields (Rec Club) from Monday, July 26 to Thursday, July 29.

The coaching will cater for boys and girls aged 5-17 years and will focus primarily on the key areas of dribbling, shooting passing and control through the use of fun coaching techniques. There are also numerous 'Mini Soccer Competitions' which include: World Cup; Premier League; Spanish League and Champions League as well as the ever popular 'Penalty King' and 'Penalty Queen' Competitions.

The co-ordinator of the courses is Sean Davis, a former Manchester United and Middlesborough player. Sean is the holder of the European A Coaching Licence to add to his IFA, FAI and FA badges.

Coaching staff will also include Darren Walker (IFA and European B License), Dermot McCool (IFA and European A Licence), IFA Coaches Anthony Wade, Christopher Curran, David McGinley, Jason Mallon. Female coach is Coleen Browne – all IFA coaches.

Registration for the courses will take place on Monday, July 26, at Du Pont. Lunch is from 12.30pm until 1pm with the course finishing a 3pm each day. In addition to the coaching each participant will receive: free top quality football and refreshments daily and there are 100’s of prizes to be won including t-shirts, trophies, boot-bags and medals.
