Against the run of play Banbridge Rangers went behind but with a few encouraging words continued to play their own style of football on a blistering hot afternoon.

The visitors increased the tempo with debutant Jamie Hill and Nathan Copes combining well down the left flank with attempts from Copes, Wilson and Black denied by outstanding opposition keeper.

The Banbridge boys were rewarded with an equalizer when center forward Reece Wilson combined with midfielder Thomas McCallister who supplied an excellent end product lobbing the stationary keeper.

With spirits lifted Rangers continued to control the match with Reece Wilson adding his name to the scoresheet before Jordan Boyd added a third to give the traveling side a 3-1 advantage going into the break.

Banbridge Rangers’ midfield came out in the same vein of form in the second half with debutant Jamie Hill scoring his first goal for the club followed by a fifth goal of the afternoon by last season’s Players Player of the Year Matthew Black.

The score line ended 5-1 to the visitors, it could have been a lot more only for an in form Tullyvallen keeper.

Special mention goes to Jamie Hill and Alex Cairns who both made impressive debuts for the team and will be vital additions to the squad for the future.
