Lurgan B failed to make it three in a row for the week, on a wet and difficult green down at Ballymacarrett on Saturday.

Rink one skipped by Sam Neill, Jeff McCullough, Charlie Maguire, and Neil Sloan managed to keep with opposing rink until the 15th end when the skip fell at the mat injuring his wrist, from then on the rink struggled to keep the margin down, finishing seven shots down 10-17.

Rink two skipped by Eamonn Quinn, Gerry Stewart, Derek Henderson, Rodney McCarthy fought back to just one shot deficit at the 16th end, but finished 5 shots down 16-21.

Rink three, skipped by Gordon Bell, Wilfie McCullough, Bobby Livingstone, Roy Poots struggled throughout the afternoon, only registering shots on six ends, even with a late surge at the end finished 20 shots behind 13-33.

Rink four skipped by Dan Dempsey, Bobby Jones, Vincy Devlin, Declan McCabrey gained seven shots in the final four ends to finish seven shots down 16-23. Lurgan B plays Divis B at home on Saturday.

The B team had a successful evening last Tuesday against Antrim division 5 leaders gaining six valuable points.

Rink one skippered by Mr Consistent Gordon Bell, assisted by Wilfie McCullough, Bobby Livingstone and Roy Poots went into a early lead gaining eight points from the first three ends, but the opposition kept them within sight before losing 26-17.

Rink 2 skipped by Eamon Quinn, with Gerry Stewart, Derek Henderson and Rodney McCarthy were in form to finish 13 points ahead 23-10.

Rink three, skippered by Sam Neill, assisted with a new third Jeff McCullough, Charlie Maguire and Neill Sloan were in form to finish nine shots ahead 24-15.

Rink four, Vincy Devlin, Brian Brown, Dan Dempsey and skip Bobby Jones could not get the win to secure all seven points eventually losing 16-25.
